Tiny tennis lovers can watch some of the world’s top female players compete in this pre-US Open professional tournament. When they’re not cheering on their favorite players during the eight days of matches, they can take free tennis lessons offered by the New York Junior Tennis League and watch members of the New York Police Department and the New York Fire Department compete in a special tennis match. And on Kids’ Fitness Day on August 9, check out “dancing dietician” Helen Butleroff and a chorus of Broadway singers and dancers performing a free show about healthy eating habits. Check the website for detailed information and a schedule of events. Free. All Ages.
