This Bronx playground is named for Basil Behagen (1972-1993). Throughout his lifetime, Behagen served his community in many ways, including working as a Substance Abuse Prevention Intervention Specialist for the Board of Education; serving on the Advisory Board of Lincoln Hospital; and chairing the Parks & Recreation Committee of Bronx Community Board 3.This Bronx spot is equipped with baseball fields, handball courts, basketball courts, play equipment, spray showers and bathrooms. It is named after Basil Behagen (1927–1993), who was once chair of the Bronx's Parks & Recreation Committee.
