Hip Brooklyn kids and their parents will love perusing the clothes at this Greenpoint gem. Focusing on buy-sell-trade practices, Parachute Brooklyn sells gently used and vintage pieces—ranging from the '50s to the '90s—that'll ensure they're the most stylish tots on the playground. If there's something your little style mavens have outgrown, you can trade it in for for another garment. Sellers are given the option to receive 25 percent of the retail value in cash or 50 percent in trade. Consider it the Buffalo Exchange for the younger set. However, co-founders Carly Boonparn and Ambra Markos, who met through their little girls, have a bigger idea in mind than simply finding stylish outfits. “As local residents we are honored to provide a sustainable business to families in our community,” Boonparn says. “Through the resale cycle we aim to extend the lifespan of clothing thus minimizing the impact on the environment." Ages 0–10.
