Former Sixth Avenue hot spot Limelight (yes, the historic church turned nightclub you might have frequented as a teen) has reopened as an indoor marketplace. Newly refurbished to its original architectural glory—think limestone arches and grand stained-glass windows—the space will feature more than 60 stores, including several that are family-friendly. Tots can pick up a good read at Book Smart or get their sweets fix at It’s Sugar, a candy emporium to rival Dylan’s Candy Bar. A gourmet market featuring artisanal cheese and bread is also a hit with young epicureans. Roving clowns and street artists add a festive atmosphere on weekends.
