The East Village institution is the largest children's (and maternity) consignment shop in Manhattan. Make an appointment to bring in your gently used clothes, books, toys, furniture and gear for store credit, then look through the well-organized bargain clothing racks. Jane's also carries new baby clothing from Zutano and new maternity items from Cadeau, as well as a mishmash of whatever local kids have cast off, from tap shoes and ice skates to Disney VHS tapes. The store keeps a "haves" and a "needs" list, matching those who wish to unload with those wanting the castoffs.
