Time Out says

Caffè Panna has a family pedigree: The ice cream parlor was opened by Hallie Meyer, daughter of restaurateur Danny Meyer. She clearly shares his love of Rome. This is an homage to the gelaterias you find in the Eternal City, only streamlined for a New York audience. The menu only has ten flavors, which change daily. Five are classics, such as vanilla, chocolate and straciatella (which is Italian for chocolate chip), and five are wildcards (check out Caffè Panna's Insta feed to get the latest info). All are delicious, and made with ingredients from the Union Square greenmarket whenever possible. This is serious gelato, with all of the obsessive care and attention to detail you expect of a Meyer.
