As you begin rearranging your wardrobe, make sure your winter essentials include a pair of ice skates. Beginning Oct 27, LeFrak Center at Lakeside will open its rinks for the cold-weather season.
Though we are currently engaging in all-things spooky, we can't help but welcome winter fun at Prospect Park. After participating in Halloween activities in our Brooklyn outpost, we're certainly going to lace up for a spin around the rinks (perhaps in costume)!
Dust off your skates (or rent a pair)! Ice skating at the LeFrak Center at Lakeside is returning this Sat, Oct 27. With two state-of-the-art rinks, Prospect Park is the perfect place to show off your skills + enjoy lessons and leagues: https://t.co/HMBKmwxpcq

LeFrak Center's 26 acres offer adventure for all park-goers: ice skating, curling, hockey and even broomball. For those who aspire to become winter Olympians, consider joining one of the center's leagues. When the kiddos have some time off, let them have fun at the school break camps. Or, if you and your crew are recreational skaters, simply stop by for a few laps and practice your moves on the ice without the competition ($7 weekdays, $10 weekends and holidays). If you don't have skates of your own, rentals are $7.

Though we might not be terribly keen on certain aspects of the colder months (those icy NYC sidewalks, frigid temps), LeFrak Center is one reason to welcome winter with open arms, so grab an extra few layers and embrace the season!
