L.M. Montgomery once said, "I'm so glad we live in a world where there are Octobers," and to celebrate the first day of such a special month, we're fast forwarding to Christmas??
Macy's in Herald Square just unveiled some big news. On Nov 15 at 6pm, the iconic shopping locale will ring in the holidays with its festive window displays, so it's time to grab your heavy coats and mugs of cocoa. Six windows will get an other-worldly twist this year thanks largely to Macy's new character, the sweet and fierce Sunny the Snowpal, who will be at the forefront of the "Believe in the Wonder of Giving" theme.
“We love to tell a new Christmas story in the windows each year, and I am excited to share Sunny’s adventure with our visitors,” Roya Sullivan, the artist behind Sunny, said in a statement. “The windows are set in space, but the gifts of friendship and family are universal. We hope guests of all ages will find holiday joy reflected in our windows.”
Visitors and neighbors will be able to enjoy the holiday spirit with these installations where Sunny is trying to save Christmas with her BFFs by her side. If your kiddies can't help but fall for Sunny's sweet demeanor, they'll be able to snag an 11-inch plush of the character exclusively in the Midtown store.
