As we've said many times before: You can swim, but you can't hide. (Nice try, though.)

Lurking in the ocean is our favorite family of fish who will belt out a tune at a moment's notice...and they're back. That's right: "Baby Shark"—one of the catchiest kids' songs on land and sea—is making the rounds again. This time, the tot-friendly jam is championing a health-focused remix.

Parents, I present to you #BabySharkHandWashChallenge (doo, doo, doo):

The beat is similar to its predecessor, but instead of crooning "Baby Shark doo, doo, doo," the familiar fish faces are doling out a few health pointers, like "Wash your hands, doo, doo, doo," and "Cover your sneeze doo, doo, doo." If your kids are getting tired of singing "Happy Birthday" while they scrub their hands, they can now serenade you and your neighbors with this new jam.

It seems that this is going to be the go-to melody for the foreseeable future. When you get tired of singing and can't possibly muster up another "Doo, doo, doo," make sure to turn the kids' attention. toward other activities: We have plenty of cool concerts, museum tours and reading circles that you can enjoy right from home. But, if you're looking for some much-needed peace and quiet, we suggest having a look at all of the free NYPL books available to readers—over 300,000 in fact.
