Mother Nature likes throwing curveballs.
After bestowing unusually high temperatures upon NYC, she appears to have gossiped with Elsa: We are expecting 2–4 inches of snow on Wednesday, so you might want to retire those ballet flats and opt for winter boots.
Naturally, the kiddos are probably thinking about fun snow day activities and scouting out the best sledding hills in NYC. We can't blame them, but in all likelihood, this forecast is probably just going to amount into a messy commute. (We're wishing you preemptive luck.)
To prepare for the morning craze, the Department of Education sent out a tweet on Tuesday evening with a plan:
Due to the weather, @NYCSchoolBuses routes may experience delays tomorrow morning, December 11, 2019. OPT Customer Service Agents will be available at 718-392-8855 starting 5:30 a.m. to answer questions, take service concerns and provide information for families & schools.

In the event you like to get up with the birds, you can call OPT Customer Service agents at 718-392-8855 beginning at 5:30 in the morning to see if your school bus will be affected by the storm. (We'll keep our fingers crossed for that snow day.)
Keep an eye on the DOE's messages and say an extra prayer for a day off. In the meantime, snuggle up with your little ones and watch some of our favorite Christmas movies for kids.
