NYC is in for a goopy good time thanks to Sloomoo Institute, and we've been eyeing our October events calendar in anticipation of its opening.
The slime attraction, which makes its grand debut into the pop-up scene on Oct 25, welcomes youngsters who want to get their hands dirty and millennials who want to relive Nickelodeon's golden days.
"We are all excited to bring the wonder and happiness of slime to the world in a large way,” says Karen Robinovitz, one of the three co-founders of the installation, alongside Sara Schiller and Toni Ko. “Our hope is that people of all ages will come to Sloomoo Institute and delight and evoke their inner child.”
Regardless of age, visitors will probably not want to wear fancy clothes to this attraction. From pop-up kiosks to a DIY station, the experience offers plenty of photo-worthy moments...and sticky fingers.
Who wouldn't want to play with this stuff?
Hallelujah, it's rainin' slime!
Seriously. You can put on a poncho as the slime comes pouring down.
Put those DIY skills to the test.
Visitors will choose a base, scent and color when making their own slime.
Dip your feet in the slime pool.
Don't just worry about your hands—your toes want to feel the goop, too!
The list goes on...
The attraction offers more ways to play: Visitors can test their brains "on slime" in The Lab with an an EEG machine, create a fun video with their own slime in the Slootoob, venture through the ASMR tunnel of CGI projections and use the experience as a way to have fun, regroup and relieve stress (you hear that, parents?!). See you there!
Sloomoo Institute is located at 475 Broadway and will be open daily from 9am–9pm from Oct 25–Apr 18.Tickets are $38 and include an 8-ounce custom slime and other fun trinkets. Learn more at sloomooinstitute.com.
