A dose of Disney magic is Manhattan-bound this autumn, so grab your mouse ears and ready your Instagram.

In celebration of Mickey's 90th birthday, the iconic character will be treated to a popular NYC phenomenon: an interactive art exhibit. “Mickey: The True Original Exhibition” is slated for a Nov 8 debut on 10th Ave, and we already planning our epic photo ops with our favorite mouse (arguably the only mouse we're excited to see in NYC).

"We hope guests will enjoy the exhibition’s larger-than-life multimedia art installations, photo-worthy experiences and even a few surprises,” Ken Potrock, president, consumer products commercialization, Disney Parks, experiences and consumer products, said in a statement. “We’ve partnered with the best muralists, sculptors, artists and designers to create original works that convey Mickey’s optimism and imagination.”

Darren Romanelli, Kenny Scharf, Amanda Ross-Ho and Shinique Smith, among other artists, have worked together to provide visitors with a glimpse of the Mickey Mouse of ears—er, we mean years—past, back when he was a simple black and white character in Steamboat Willie. Their work also helps visitors journey throughout each decade to see how he's evolved into the pop culture icon we know and love today.

“As Walt said, ‘I only hope that we never lose sight of one thing—that it was all started by a mouse’,” said Bob Chapek, Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Consumer Products. “From ‘The True Original Exhibition’ to a year-long celebration in our parks around the world, we are honoring the deep connection that families and fans have made with Mickey and Minnie Mouse for nearly a century.”
