Let’s face it: Hamilton is a hot ticket, and for those can’t score a seat to Broadway’s biggest hit, it’s time to resort to Plan B.
Fortunately for the founding fathers’ youngest fan base (8 and up), there is a way to get access to the most popular musical out there. Parents: Mark your calendars for Aug 27–31 and send your little ones to Music Theatre Philly for the Hamilton summer camp. After this week-long program, Lin-Manuel Miranda’s play will come to life right in your living room (but we won’t judge if you still hold out for tickets to the actual show).
Regardless of your child’s theater experience, he or she is welcome to learn exciting choreography moves, belt out the play’s most popular ballads, style costumes and of course, have a ton of fun in the process.
The camp runs from 9am–3pm each day and costs $375. Registration is underway, and if this program is anything like the musical itself, chances are spots will fill up quickly. If you need a backup, Music Theatre Philly will also offer camps for other shows such as Matilda and Annie, among others, Philly Voice reports. It’s your shot, so get booking.
