American Dream Mall is keen on breaking records.
The entertainment hub is home to Nickelodeon Universe, the world's largest indoor amusement park and the forthcoming DreamWorks Water Park, which will be the second largest indoor water park upon its opening. (Dates TBA.)
So it comes as no surprise that big plans are in store for spring 2020. Merlin Entertainments Limited will open New Jersey SEA LIFE Aquarium—the largest aquarium brand and the first of its kind in the northeast—at the Meadowlands hotspot on April 23, and it promises to be 25,000 square feet of pure enjoyment.
Dubbed "City Under the Sea," the aquarium will mimic your favorite NYC family attractions and moments thanks to features such as "Rush Hour of the Ocean," but instead of yellow cabs, expect yellow eels in the underwater metropolis. "City’s Freshwater" is an educational experience that'll provide visitors with insight of the Hudson River's creatures while "Urban Jungle" will stun with naturalistic flora and New York Deco architecture.
“We are very excited to open the first Northeastern SEA LIFE aquarium in New Jersey at American Dream,” says Chief New Openings Officer at Merlin Entertainments, John Jakobsen. “American Dream is an unmatched destination and the much-anticipated New Jersey SEA LIFE will deliver a one-of-a-kind
experience that will inspire and educate visitors about the ocean and the diverse creatures that call it home.”
Stay tuned for updates on the venue and its 3,000+ creatures. Until then, hop on the ferry and make your way over to American Dream today! Nickelodeon Universe is currently open, as is Big SNOW Ski and Snowboard Park.
