Open Auditions for Beginner through Advanced Youth Orchestras in NYC

Young musicians eager to be a part of a larger sound can try out for a spot at the InterSchool Orchestras of New York. Whether your child is into string, wind, brass or percussion, the organization offers beginner through advanced level courses and the chance to create sweet music alongside other young players. Those selected are placed into one of ISO’s six orchestras and two bands to rehearse in various NYC locations once a week from September through May. Auditions for the 2017/2018 school year take place next month for aspiring musicians ages 6 to 19. To schedule an audition, candidates must submit an online application with a $75 registration fee or a financial aid form. Auditions take place at Pearl Studios on the 12th floor. Ages 6–19.
