Get of taste of Japan's culinary heritage at this family-friendly festival, put on in partnership with the "Hello from Japan!" exhibition. Get in the kitchen with established chefs to carve carrots into flowers and form veggies and rice into fun shapes with Japanese cuisine expert Misako Sassa (Sat at 2pm, 3pm and 4pm), learn about and taste healthy Japanese recipes with Chef Hideyo Yamada (Sun at 2 and 3:30pm) and design a kawaii-style, single-portion lunchbox called a bento box (Sat and Sun, 10am–noon). Register in advance for chef events (open to ages 5 and up). All ages.
