Naturalists-in-training won't want to miss this cicada-counting event. You'll get trained to identify Brood II cicadas and keep track of data to help the museum estimate the number of 2013 cicadas. Before or after the workshop, be sure to check out the museum's "They're Baaack: Return of the 17-Year Cicada" show to learn more about the mysterious insects. Additional Outdoor Cicada days will take place at Bloomingdale Park (June 2 noon–2pm), High Rock Park (June 9 noon–2pm) and Clove Lakes Park (June 16 noon–2pm). Check the website for meetup details. All ages.
