In conjunction with the exhibit, "Black Citizenship in the Age of Jim Crow," the New-York Historical Society will host events that focus on a theme and tie in to Black History Month. Topics include: Founding Black Harlem (March 2 and 3) and Meet Harriet Tubman (March 9 and 10). Mid-March, the topics shift and the focus is on Women's History Month. Expect topics such as Votes for Women! (March 16 and 17), Meet Madam C.J. Walker (March 23 and 24) and Women, the Extraordinary Soldiers of the Civil War (March 30) and Deborah Sampson (March 31).
