What could be better than spending part of a Saturday exploring the Met's art collections with the kids? How about coming across the live sounds of contemporary music guru John Zorn in galleries throughout the museum as you do? The event, which marks the 60th birthday of the avant garde composer and musician (his actual birthday's on Sept 2), features the likes of singer Mike Patton, percussionist Kenny Wollesen, harpist Carol Emanuel and, of course, John Zorn, who'll be playing the organ, among many other musical artists. All ages.
