The Museum of the Moving Image has decided to count down to the 2015 opening of its permanent Jim Henson exhibition by offering a Henson screening once a month until opening day. The November program, Sesame Street: The Parodies (Nov 28 and 30), marks the 45th season of the show with hilarious episodes like Upside Downton Abbey and Cookie Monster's Crumby Pictures, poking fun at pop culture. On tap for December is a showing of A Muppet Family Christmas (Dec 27 and 28), a TV special uniting the Muppets, the Fraggles and Sesame Street characters in a giant family reunion. The December events will also include behind-the-scenes home movies from production and a compilation of memorable moments from other Henson holiday productions. All ages.
