Learn about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through the topics of equality, rights and diversity during various youth workshops at the Brooklyn Children's Museum. There's really something for all ages! On Jan 15, take smaller folk to the Totally Tots Studio (10am–noon, ages 2.5–5) to learn about Kehinde Wiley and create a self portrait, or make a silkscreen protest poster (11am–1pm, ages 3 and up) inspired by civil rights artwork. You can also partake in a DNA Bracelet (noon–2pm, ages 3 and up) craft that teaches kids how our genetic codes are all very similar. Highlights on Jan 16 include creating love, hope and peace postcards (11am–1pm, ages 3 and up) that are influenced by King's teachings, and seeing the Brooklyn United Marching Band (2–3pm, all ages) live. All ages.
