Offered on the first Saturday of the month, this workshop invites kids and their parents a chance to take a guided, discussion-peppered tour through the galleries of the American Folk Art Museum, then get to work on a piece of artwork inspired by objects they've seen on exhibition. This spring, families will explore "When The Curtain Never Comes Down," then make their own headwear (Hats, Crowns and Headdresses, 4/4), create banners bearing personalized messages (What's Your Message?, 5/2) and design musical instruments (Marching to the Beat of Your Own Drum!, 6/6). Space is limited; advance registration is required. Ages 4 to 12.
