"ElectriCity: Powering New York’s Rails"

Kids will stand on subway platforms with a new appreciation for the third rail after a visit to the museum's newest exhibit, which tackles the science of electricity. Hands-on activities have little ones capturing light with a solar panel, creating sparks that fly up a Jacob's ladder, and operating a model train with a hand-cranked motor.
