To fete the 45th anniversary of tennis legend Arthur Ashe's historic US Open win in 1968, NYSCI is mounting an "inspirational tour" so the next generation can learn about the athlete's inspirational life. Kids will "meet" Ashe via three virtual motion paintings, answer tennis-themed trivia while playing a touchscreen match, create a photo of themselves with the tennis champ and learn about one of the causes he championed—heart health—by trying some challenging excercies and learning about how the heart works. Best of all, admission to the museum is free the whole time the show is up (Aug 24–Sept 9; closed Labor Day). All ages.
