Art That Blinks, Buzzes and Breathes

The Children's Museum of the Arts and littleBits are teaming up for a super-fun Media Lab Extravaganza! Creative kids can get in on interactive workshops that incorporate littleBits electronic building blocks with other art materials. In Time-Lapse Drawing Machines, kids will create a gadget that draws geometric shapes. Circuitry-Assisted Abstract Animation uses pressure and motion sensors to make unique drawings that kids can turn into an animated, shareable GIF. Wearable Inventions and Pixilation invites youngsters to craft wearable hats, masks, magical gloves and more using LED lights, buzzers and sensors. Ages 5 and up.
