Brooklyn Museum Art Classes

Who needs Saturday morning cartoons when kids can spend their weekend mornings drawing their own creations—and so much more? During this 10-week session, children are guided by professional teaching artists with projects that utilize traditional mediums as well as new materials to create sculptures, paintings and more inspired by the museum's collection. Young students (Ages 6–7), can make their own murals or use muslin, wire and paper to craft their own "animal mummies," while bigger kids (Ages 8–10) can use charcoal for larger-than-life pictures like Robert Longo or focus on painting self portraits.
