Kids can test out the future of 3-D printing at this unique workshop. Stuart Rentzler, a professor of 3-D Modeling and 3-D computer animation at Parsons and Pratt, will introduce tots to Sculptris, a simple modeling software they'll use to design a one-of-a-kind robot. Starting with a virtual ball of clay, kids will learn to mold and transform a printable file into a 3-D bot that they can take home. The workshop will take place inside 3DEA, a pop-up shop located in the Eventi Hotel, on the corner of Sixth Avenue and 29th Street. Ages 5 and up.
