Time Out says

Although it’s on an unlovely street alongside Port Authority, this new hotel has much to recommend it. Distrikt’s subtle Manhattan theme (the "k" is a nod to the city’s original Dutch settlers) is conceptual. Each of the 31 guest floors is named after one of ten beloved ’hoods (Harlem, Soho, Chelsea, etc) and a backlit photo collage created by local artist Chris Rubino adorns the hallways; smaller framed versions liven up the rooms, which are otherwise coolly neutral, with luxury features such as Frette linens and marble in the bathrooms. Request a higher floor for Hudson River or Times Square views—the rates rise accordingly. A 14-foot "living wall" representing Central Park anchors the lobby, but what really impresses is the three big iMacs equipped with free Wi-Fi for guest use.
