This eight-story, 22-room hotel housed in a former 19th-century tenement eschews chic modernism in favor of old-world charm. Owner Randy Settenbrino incorporated historic newspaper clippings, ads and photos he discovered during renovation into the decor, complementing original wood mouldings, art nouveau fixtures and wrought-iron beds. Amenities are limited, but Orchard Street and the surrounding thoroughfares offer dozens of boutiques, restaurants, bars and clubs. Some rooms come with views of the nearby Williamsburg Bridge.
