If you haven’t attended Open House New York in previous years, now’s the time! The annual event gives New Yorkers behind-the-scenes access to the city’s most famous landmarks, family attractions and more for two days (most for free)—and this year, the dates are Saturday, Oct 17 and Sunday, Oct 18.

Though the full list will not be revealed until early October, we have a sneak peek at what’s on offer (and what’s going to be awesome for pint-size explorers). Here are some of our top picks for kids, and be sure to keep an eye on the OHNY website once October rolls around!

Our top OHNY picks for kids:

National Lighthouse Museum

New York State Pavilion (1960s World’s Fair)

Marine Air Terminal at LaGuardia

Newtown Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant

City Hall

Google Headquarters (Chelsea)

Brooklyn Army Terminal

Bronx Post Office
