You may have read about National Geographic Encounter: Ocean Odyssey in our earlier post and print article about 17 things you can't miss in 2017, but now that we're a little closer to the new family attraction's official opening date, we're excited to share even more details about this one-of-a-kind experience—especially because we have a feeling you'll dig it.
Explorers of all ages will venture through a 60,000-square-foot space—even larger than Gulliver's Gate, also new to TSQ—to enjoy virtual interaction with sea lions, rays, dolphins and see virtual humpback whales, great white sharks and Humboldt squids. You'll experience photo-real animation, huge projection screens, immersive sound and an area where guests can engage with interactive technology (photo areas, touch screens, holograms and games involving ocean conservation/research).
P.S. Looking to host an event at the venue? In addition to the attraction space, National Geographic Encounter also features multiple event rooms to accommodate gatherings of all sizes. Believe it or not, the entire venue can be rented out!
Tickets for the attraction go on sale July 11, and all tickets are attached to time-slots. The experience opens to the public in October (exact date TBD).
Find the experience at 226 44th St (natgeoencounter.com). $39.50, seniors $36.50, children 12 and under $32.50.
