With Halloween around the corner, your kids are probably extra obsessed with creepy crawlies and gooey messes. If this is the case in your home—and we assume that it is—you'll definitely need to get in on the Brooklyn Children’s Museum's Icky Fest, a delightful fright for all.
Icky Fest will feature a lineup of storytelling sessions, art activities and dancing. Kids will make their own “icky sticky goo” slime and monster creations with Model Magic, and parents can enjoy a blast from the past as their tykes dance to "Monster Mash." The museum’s Collections staff will showcase items from the touchable collection and kids will get to check out worms, cockroaches and beetles from the museum’s animal collection. They’ll even get to pet them. Gross!
Don't miss an opportunity to enjoy an interactive reading of If You’re a Monster and You Know It by Rebecca Emberley and make paper Icky Monsters to take home. Be sure to join on the outdoor pumpkin scavenger hunt to find the perfect squash to decorate in the greenhouse.
