In this interactive exhibit, visitors wind their way through the history of the trade route that connected the cities of Xi'an, Turfan, Samarkand and Baghdad for six centuries beginning in A.D. 600. Children get to study replicas of desert markets, smell spices, hear music from the ancient civilizations and watch live silkworms spin cocoons.
