Skyscraper Skeletons

Bring your kids' building skills to new heights with this Gotham-centric workshop. First, kids listen to a reading of Deborah Hopkinson's children's book Sky Boys: How They Built the Empire State Building, which chronicles the construction of the landmark through the eyes of a young boy growing up during the Great Depression. Following the storytime, children erect their own skyscraper frames using toothpicks and gumdrops. Registration required.
