New Museum First Saturdays for Families: NEW Optics

Take the brood on a gratis stroll through "Ghosts in the Machine," the current exhibit that investigates the relationship between humans, machines and art. Little artistes will be inspired by the work of Bridget Riley and Victor Vasarely, whose canvases create illusions of depth and movement, as they learn how to craft their own optical masterpieces using simple shapes and patterns. The program includes free admission for up to two adults per family; children under 18 are always free. Ages 4 to 15.
