Hudson River Park's Pier 45

The lovely Pier 45, the first to open at the ribbon-cutting of Hudson River Park in 2003, sports an Astroturf field shared by families, yoga practioners and sunbathers and, at the far end, a peaceful grove of trees that's ideal for a picnic.
