Family Art Project: Be a Bee

It's Honey Weekend at Wave Hill, and families can participate in some buzz-worthy activities to celebrate. Little busy bees can learn about the insect's amazing hive, then dress up in wings and antennae and buzz around the gardens with a kazoo. At 11am on Saturday, Bronx beekeeper Roger Repohl shows kids how to extract honey from the hives. On Sunday from 2 to 4pm, visit the Hives and Honey Information Station and let tots try on beekeeping gear and taste-test different varieties of the sweet stuff. Ages 2 and up.
