Central Park, Strawberry Fields

Opened in 1985, this area of the park serves as a memorial to former Beatle (and longtime New Yorker) John Lennon. The centerpiece is a large stone mosaic featuring the word Imagine, in homage to one of Lennon's most famous songs.
