The Beaux-Arts beauty is the last of the city's early 20th-century ferry buildings. These days, the structure is the site of very rare events, most notably an installation by David Byrne in 2008, in which he set up an organ that allowed visitors to "play the building." Plans are in the works to add a boutique hotel and rooftop bar to the venue.
