Junior Engineer: Bridge It!

The Williamsburg and Manhattan bridges were built over a hundred years ago, before computers, before sophisticated cars and before New York had 8 million-plus people in it. And still, the impeccable bridges are fully functioning today, carrying the enormous weight of trains, cars, bicycles and people. In this workshop, you and your kids will learn about the amazing science and history behind the bridges, and implement the technology to design your own super-strong bridge. Ages 5 and up.
