No more winter soccer, ball hockey or mini-golf?

West Island winter sports are at risk as Le Club Dome, a multi-sports complex, faces closure.

Now that we've officially hit fall in Montreal, with the foliage changing by the second (check out this 2024 autumn leaf peeping tracker), our minds are turning to all the best things to do this winter—indoors and outside.

Many players eagerly anticipating the start of the winter season with their teams are now left in limbo following the closure of Le Club Dome.

The facility, in operation for over 20 years, has been a go-to place for indoor sports, celebrations and other gatherings.

According to a report by the CBC, a legal dispute between the dome operators and the owner of the land is the source of the closure.

Soccer, ball hockey and mini-golf players will no longer be able to take part in indoor sports, leaving them in the lurch just before the winter season.
