With severe thunderstorm warnings and the appearance of a few tornadoes in the mix this month, Montreal is now preparing for more inclement weather.

A special weather statement issued by Environment Canada this morning cautioned showers and risk of thunderstorms.

Rainfall between 15 to 30 millimetres is forecasted across Southern Quebec on Thursday morning, however, amounts could locally reach 50 millimetres in thunderstorms.
