From jerk chicken and spiced rum to some of the most mouthwatering (and mind-bending) poutines in town, it’s time to head to Clock Tower Quay for some of Montreal’s most delicious food festivals.
Bring on the cheap eats and some of the city's most iconic dishes!
1. Taste of the Caribbean
July 6-9th, 2023
Looking for a taste of all things Caribbean? From Jamaica’s reggae sounds and jerk chicken dishes to the spiced rums and soca artists of Barbados and Grenada, this is the festival for you.
Featuring food, drinks, music and art from Haiti, Jamaica, Cuba, Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago, St. Vincent, Grenada and more, this event in the Old Port is taking things up a notch this year with a special “rum edition”.
2. Festival Street Food Montreal
July 13-16
From authentic Thai street to Mexican tacos—with some crispy fried chicken and flavourful plant-based options along the way—this unforgettable street food party brings 40 food stalls representing 150 street foods together. Come for the sizzle of the grill and stay for the night market and musical performances!
3. Le Grand Poutinefest
July 19-30
Calling all poutine lovers! In a city that is known for the best poutine around, it’s only natural to have a festival that celebrates Montreal’s most popular dish.
Just steps from one of the city’s best urban beaches, Le Grand Poutinefest has it all from classic poutines for the purists to next-level creations for the adventurous (General Tao chicken or Shepherds Pie, for starters) . Bonus: family-friendly activities for the kids (carnival games with prizes, and a 300-foot inflatable course—for starters).
