There Is No Fame Without Love is the reason behind Time Out Market Montréal’s success—and the name of a spectacular new project.
Celebrating Time Out Market Montréal’s five year anniversary, this striking project, There Is No Fame Without Love, highlights longstanding guests and fans—prominent Montréal figures and celebrated artists—and is a moment of gratitude for everyone who has been part of the Market’s journey since opening in 2019.
Over the past five years, Time Out Market Montréal has welcomed more than 2 million visitors annually, hosted over 30 restaurants featuring the city’s most celebrated chefs and restaurants, and collaborated with nearly 100 local artisans and artists through various initiatives in the Market.
“I've been visiting Time Out Market Montréal weekly since it opened, it feels like home to me,” explains TV and radio host Geneviève Borne. “I enjoy coming here to eat before watching a movie, or after to dissect the film I just saw!”
From day one, Time Out Market Montréal’s mission has been to spotlight and provide a platform for local talent to shine—the driving force behind the Market’s success.
Sandra Ferreira, General Director of Campo at Time Out Market Montréal, puts it perfectly: “We need a place that brings people together more than ever. For me, Time Out Market is for everyone—all ages, tastes, budgets, and cultures in one place.”
The project honours the artists, and everyday individuals who have shaped the Market over the past 5 years, making it a true reflection of Montréal’s spirit.
Featuring some of the city’s finest chefs and talents—Paul Toussaint (Paul Toussaint and Americas BBQ), Sandra Ferreira (Campo), and Daniel Lo Manto (Bossa)—it also showcases notable public figures like TV and radio host Geneviève Borne, TV host and actress Naadei Lyonnais, content creator Michelle Furtado, author and private chef Dom Cooks, hairstylist and APART Studio’s founder MJ Déziel, artist DJ YAYA, cook Ariadna, graphic artist Francorama, and retired architect Norberto.
“It’s not just a place to eat,” shares Michelle Furtado. “Time Out Market celebrates Montreal's culinary diversity, and also the creativity and authenticity of the city. By influencing trends and showcasing local talent, Time Out Market creates a hub of inspiration—a place to discover new flavours, fresh ideas, and projects that redefine Montreal’s culture.”
More than just a culinary destination that’s home to some of the best chefs and restaurants in the city under one roof, Time Out Market Montréal is an homage to Montréal’s community, creativity, and culture, whose spirit is captured in There Is No Fame Without Love.
As Adriana explains: “Time Out Market Montréal plays a key role in bringing people together. It creates a space where people can experience Montréal’s creativity and community all at once. Through this campaign, the Market continues to highlight the talent and passion that make Montréal so unique.”
Developed in partnership with the avant-garde creative agency, DEPARTMENT Maison de Création, led by Paul Barbin, the project was also brought to life by photography duo Jodi+Alex (Jodi Heartz and Alex Blouin) and Director Gerardo Alcaine.
