Enchanting dreams for children and unforgettable nightmares for adults?
To mark its 150th anniversary, Parc Jean-Drapeau—one of our favourite parks—is hosting a special Halloween event, Lune Noire, that’s scary amazing.
Located near the Hélène-de-Champlain pavilion and at the base of Mont Boullé, the Lune Noire village is a kid-friendly experience for children during the day—and a thrilling, frightening one for adults at night.
An immersive experience like no other, visitors can visit for family-friendly activities or spine-tingling excitement.
By day, the Lune Noire village offers family-friendly activities like a candy hunt, pumpkin decorating, and fairground games.
And by night, La Dernière Balade is a haunted 1-km trail that immerses visitors in a chilling journey, revisiting the eerie disappearance of a young girl during a funfair in 1934, with unsettling sounds and mysterious forces awakening as night falls.
The trail features themed stations, dramatic performances, and haunting soundscapes, creating a captivating yet terrifying atmosphere.
La Dernière Balade is an experience designed for ages 16 and over, however younger guests can attend accompanied by a parent.
When is Lune Noire happening in Montreal?
Head to Parc Jean-Drapeau from Friday, October 25 to Sunday, October 27, 2024.
What activities are being offered at Lune Noire?
La Dernière Balade, one of the main attractions, takes visitors on a chilling journey. In 1934, during a fair at the foot of Mont Boullé, a 7-year-old girl named Angèle vanished without a trace. Since then, hikers and workers have reported eerie sounds—children’s laughter, unsettling noises, and distant music in the forest.
90 years later, a new fair has been erected for the park's anniversary, but beware—few make it through La Dernière Balade unharmed.
The 1-km haunted trail features themed stations, stunning scenery, dramatic performances, and spine-chilling sound effects. As night falls, mysterious forces awaken, casting an eerie, captivating atmosphere over the entire site.
Evening fairground activities complement the experience, offering a festive yet haunting space for adults.
