Prepare to be teleported to an intergalactic space jungle.
Picture a hidden galaxy-inspired staircase leading up to a glamorous, jungle-themed oasis with a polished marble bar, glass ceiling and mind-blowing cocktails served in disco balls and you’ve got Milky Way.
Topping the list of best bars in the city, this secret bar (via the Barroco Group) nestled above Fugazzi (one of our favourite pizza joints) is giving us lost in space meets tropical oasis.
Access this hidden speakeasy in Pointe-Sainte-Charles via a narrow, surreal, neon-lit staircase channelling (you guessed it) the Milky Way.
The immersive starry entrance leads to a sumptuous space that feels both lush and airy.
The signature Gauley Brothers glamour (the award-winning design team behind some of Montreal's hottest bars) is everywhere you look, from floor to ceiling.
Sip cocktails under the stars: Picture a massive skylight, out-of-this-world lighting effects and luxuriant plants, some hanging from the ceiling, to complete the effect.
Sexy banquettes in velvety greens, neon pink seating and chevron floors take the design to another level.
Custom plasters and faux finishings on the walls bring an urban touch to the surfaces.
From the first galactic moments to kicking back in the “green room”, Milky Way is one otherworldly adventure.
The cocktails—arguably some of Montreal’s finest—focus on tropical flavours, spotlighting house-made ingredients from syrups to dried fruit garnishes.
Try Le Chérie Sour (Luxardo Sour Cherry Gin, Rinquinquin Peach Apéritif, Amaro Fernet Branca, Lemon and Bitter orange juniper) or the Disco Pisco (Pisco El Gobernador, Aperol, Vanilla liqueur, lemon, orgeat) served in a disco ball.

And because Milky Way is built above Fugazzi pizzeria, many menu items can be delivered upstairs.
Time Out Tip: Capacity is limited and there are no reservations, so make sure to arrive early.
