Downtown Montreal’s Time Out Market Montréal is shining brighter than ever this December.
From the Market’s stunning Christmas lights — we’re talking about magically transforming 40,000 square feet into a festive wonderland — to the best New Year’s Eve deal in town, plus a (second) downtown visit from Santa in between, Time Out Market Montréal is the place to be this month.
Picture the Market lit up with holiday colours, sparkling baubles, twinkling lights, and thousands of decorations suspended from the ceiling until January 7, 2024.
Time Out Market Montréal is also taking it up a notch this year with an even more elaborate Christmas tree, and a dedicated photo area featuring a Santa throne where Santa Claus himself will sit on December 2.
When is Santa Claus coming downtown to Time Out Market Montréal?
Come and see Santa on December 2, 2023, from noon until 3 p.m.
Santa Claus will be at the Market to hand out chocolates to children and take photos!
What else is happening at the Market in December?
The Market’s exclusive holiday menu kicks off December 1 to January 4.
Plus, don’t miss this year's Christmas market — a collaborative effort with Collectif créatif MTL — showcasing 40 stalls, hosting around 90 local artisans across two weekends: December 7–10 and December 13–17.
Love a Christmas choir? Enjoy a free event by the Hummingbirds Trio Vocal Christmas Choir on two consecutive Saturdays: Saturday, December 9 (noon to 3 p.m.) and Saturday, December 16 (noon to 3 p.m.)
Last but definitely not least, join us for the best New Year's Eve deal in town on December 31 from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Take a culinary journey around the globe while welcoming the New Year. Each spot at the Market — featuring some of the best chefs and restaurants in Montreal under one roof — will be decorated with the colours and flags of the country associated with their cuisine.
