New map shows where to find the perfect snow conditions in Quebec in real time

Skiing, snowshoeing and walking trails are inspected daily and updated every morning on this interactive map.

Winter has finally arrived, and we’re looking to do some winter hiking, hit the ski hill and strap on some snowshoes.

But how to find the best snow conditions in and around Montreal?

With the snowfall especially unpredictable these days, it’s hard to know where to chase the snow.

This interactive map from Sépaq provides daily live updates, including a free app and mailing list so you can check snow conditions at the establishments of your choice every morning.

Time to enjoy your best winter ever.

What does the map show?

Snow conditions on all of the Sépaq trails are updated every morning to offer the best winter experience possible.

There are 24 destinations currently on the app, and include the following information for each spot:

Snowfall in the last 24 hours

Snowfall in the last 48 hours

Snowfall in the last 7 days

Seasonal snowfall to date

Total kilometres of new dry snow (powder)

What are the perfect snow conditions? 

Powder is often considered the ideal type of snow for both novice and experienced skiers. 

For seasoned skiers, it offers the challenge of picking up speed to stay afloat, while beginners can enjoy its softness as they practice and refine their technique.
