When Yatai MTL's Japan Week happened earlier this year, Montrealers got treated to a sizeable Shiba Inu party, with owners bringing their cute Japanese breeds out to meet each other and be generally cute.
Thing is, a single lonely corgi showed up to the party, and the organizers from Yatai MTL have decided to throw a party just for corgis this weekend on September 11 just to rectify the situation.
Got a corgi? Perfect, bring it!
Don't have a corgi, but love 'em anyway? Perfect, bring yourself!
"To please Kombu the Corgi who was present at our Shiba gathering, we will be organizing a Corgi gathering," organizers have written on the Facebook event. "The purpose of the gathering is simply to encourage an opportunity for owners to meet and to offer a special moment for those who do not have one and would like to see them and meet the owners."
All participants need to do is register their attendance online on a Google form to find out where the party will be happening; the exact location of the event is not being made public due to public health restrictions (communicating an event's exact location isn't allowed far in advance).
The Facebook event for Le Happy Corgi Party on September 11 can be found here, and the registration form for corgi owners and corgi lovers can be found here. According to the event, the gathering will be postponed to September 12 if there's rain.
