Picture a Polynesian getaway 45 minutes from Downtown Montreal.
First it was announced that the highest bungee in Canada is coming to Montreal with the tallest urban jump in the country.
Now the largest water park ever built in Quebec, developed by Investissement Ray Junior, is on its way.
Mōrea Parc Aquatique will be a Disney-esque indoor waterpark inspired by French Polynesian culture located in Mirabel, home to many farm-to-table restaurants, sugar shacks, outlet shopping and thousands of homes.
Make sure to add it to your list of the best things to do in and around Montreal.

What to expect from Mōrea Parc Aquatique in Mirabel Quebec
Focused on family fun, Mōrea is set to become a must-visit destination for both Quebecers and international visitors.
Located in the heart of Cité Mirabel, the park will offer a one-of-a-kind experience that combines thrills with family-friendly relaxation—all in the spirit of the French Polynesian islands.
Get ready for spectacular water slides, a lazy river, an indoor surf zone, a spa and wellness centre, plus restaurants and shops.
The park’s architecture and design has been carefully crafted to recreate the warm atmosphere of the islands, with elements inspired by the landscapes of French Polynesia like traditional huts and lush vegetation.

When is the park set to open?
According to a report by the CBC, work is expected to start on Mōrea in the spring of 2026. The opening date is expected to be in the spring of 2028.
What makes Mōrea unique?
The park will include a conference centre on the top floor for private and large-scale events that can also be transformed into a performance venue, and a hotel (with an aerial walkway!) will include a 1,500-seat performance hall.
Engineering experts have been used to incorporate the best water treatment technologies to allow for recycling and reuse in an environmentally-conscious way.
To reduce the impact of greenhouse gas emissions and mitigate global warming, parking will be integrated into a building with 11 floors in order to reduce the spread of pavement and vehicles outdoors, and limiting the absorption of solar radiation by asphalt and cars.
